The Tug of War Federation of India has been declared to be “a public authority” under the Right to Information Act of 2005 by Ministry of Youth Affairs& Sports, Department of Sports vide letter No. F.No.36-2/2010-SP.II dated 21^st April, 2010 As a ‘public authority’, under Section 2(h) of the Act, a RTI cell has been created to deal with any application(s) seeking information from the Federation.
